Developing Your Leadership Brand
Learning Objectives:
o Understand and define your Leadership Brand
o Clarify actions to support building that brand
Ideas in Action:
Participants will develop their own Leadership Motto and create strategies to communicate both their brands and mottos to others. They will tie their brand to their personal values. By identifying ways to act more consistently with their values, they can clearly see where disconnects exist. |
Preparing Yourself for Your Next Transition
Learning Objectives:
o Predict key transition challenges
o Align your development path with your interests and
motivation
Ideas in Action:
Participants will learn about transitions between leadership roles. They will focus on the requirements / expectations associated with their next role. They will then align those requirements with their own career interests and motivation. |
Leading in Challenging Times
Learning Objectives:
o Target leadership behaviors to better support your team
o Indentify care and connection behaviors during a crisis
Ideas in Action:
Participants will develop strategies to better support those around them. They will increase their awareness of how they respond and relate to others. They will evaluate the emotional “fuel gauge” of their employees. |
Exploring Organizational Power
Learning Objectives:
o Understand power within your Circle of Influence
o Increase effectiveness through deliberate use of language
Ideas in Action:
Participants will explore the Trust-Influence-Power pyramid. They will develop strategies for utilizing language to equalize power in helping (influencing) situations and will identify the difference between “helpful help” and “non-helpful help.” |
Performance Management & Feedback
Learning Objectives:
o Recognize your patterns for providing feedback
o Create strategies to direct the performance of others
Ideas in Action:
Participants will explore the benefits of providing feedback. They will address the existing organizational culture around providing feedback and identify the type of feedback that they tend to give. |
Contributing at a More Strategic Level
Learning Objectives:
o Examine your organizational system
o Influence in a broader way
Ideas in Action:
Participants will recognize the importance of building trust within their organizational systems to enable them to be more strategic. They will discuss the challenges of choosing partnership over being burdened or oppressed |
